Voters residing within the boundaries of the Romeo Community Schools will vote for fund updates, renovations, and construction in six general areas: 2. Constructing additions to the RETC and making it the new Romeo High School for students in grades 10-12. This election has two basic purposes: 1) To implement the school district’s long-range facilities plan; 2) To enhance student safety and school security. The bond proposal is designed to assure Romeo’s schools, school facilities, and technology are updated and in good repair. 3. Converting Romeo High School into a new middle school serving students in grades 6-8 (the current middle school will be demolished because it has exceeded its useful life and renovating it cannot be justified educationally or financially). A complete list of projects proposed for all schools appears on the school district’s website: www.romeo.k12.mi.us. All bond proposal projects have been approved by the Michigan Department of Treasury. Other Items to Note: “Empowering ALL students to succeed!” Here is a summary of the projects that will be completed at Several topics will be discussed at this meeting, including the upcoming RCS bond proposal and 5th grade transition to RMS. Mr. Whitney, RCS Superintendent, or his designee, will explain the bond proposal at the beginning of the meeting. Mr. Martz, Principal of RMS, will detail the upcoming 5th grade transition following the bond proposal presentation. Yesterday was an amazing day of professional learning for all of the teachers and me. Nine teachers and I spent the entire day with Dr. Elizabeth Johnson and Mrs. Mary Kathleen Walsh from Eastern Michigan University and Extreme Teaching for Extreme Times! LLC. At 2:15, the entire teaching staff joined us until 4:00 p.m. Our day of learning centered around student engagement. We were immersed in activities and examples of how to reach ALL students to ensure they are physically and cognitively engaged in every lesson. The strategies and instructional practices learned will provide the greatest impact on student achievement and ensure ALL students see learning as fun. The staff here is committed to incorporating these strategies into their instruction and I am excited for our students to have new and more engaging instructional experiences. Perhaps you would prefer to post this as a comment instead of my original? I wrote this to a friend and it make come across with more clarity: Love that video, word so needs to get out so change can come about. I’m homeschooling my children at the moment with the dream of building my own school, based on the future, that’s the best way to describe it, I want them to learn through play and creativity roulette strategy horse, to have shorter days, to have freedom to travel to grow their experiences if they need to. To have a super healthy kitchen where everyone gets to eat amazing healthy vegetables that are grown by the children at school, who are taught how to make amazing food. I want yoga and meditation to be available, art, creativity, design, performance art, choices! More choices, more freedom. A school naturopath instead of a nurse so you understand health at a core level, and everything else, the whole self, spirituality, kindness, understanding. Guides and teachers to listen and guide children into adulthood and plenty of time in nature. I need investors to make this reality so any help or advice would be amazing. There’s a crying need for change and I’m tired of hearing that need, I want to create it now. Whether it’s by book, images, or music. Then teach in a way everyone can understand however don’t just teach at a child, but use their strength to ensure they are grasping the concepts. Jocelyn ● 3 Oct 2016 Also. we know that having a purpose contributes to human happiness. I have seen first hand the levels of engagement, pride and the natural embedment of 21C thinking skills like critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, etc when student learning tackles real world problems like global and local poverty, human and animal rights, sustainability matters, health, bullying, cyber awareness….we are surrounded with all sorts of problems whether global or something local and unique. And through the school experience our students are in a position to make change, given the opportunity. There is so much scope for learning and writing a report card that doesn’t list skills learnt, but instead tells a story of how a student has changed as a person, by changing the world around them, and what skills hey have learnt and applied in the process. In such cases the child can learn about bank accounts, budgeting deutschland online casino craps, shopping for the best price (not just brand names) to begin and later Global Economics and how it works (to include World Leaders and lessons we can learn from Global History). Following the Stock Market as a Game for example, could be offered but not required except perhaps once slots 12 times, to familiarize and or introduce the concept for future consideration. Jobs will be created to come up with these games. I agree with you because i think this is the most realistic and truthful thing i have ever heard. The real truth that schools need to teach teachers and share ideas with other schools or countries is important As well as school trips and hands an activites and the type of homework. Students should have thier own education in thier own way. Ella ● 3 Oct 2016 Have you knowledge of the big learning schools like the MET in Providence RI? Having advanced classes a child can opt for, rather than be assigned to, would help with labeling and allow students to challenge themselves and fine tune their minds (lets say, a student who loves Math or Science for example). Teaching about dysfunctional living and solutions would be a class all children need to attend, to help them break or avoid such cycles and impart compassion and understanding of their fellow humans. Hi I’m Blake. A freshman at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins. And I believe we should really get rid of common core and implement more technology into the classrooms. We should use what kids are experienced with (like tablets). Common core really stressed me out. It made me feel stupid because I couldn’t do it. I started slipping in math and I failed 8th grade geometry. I don’t blame the teacher, I blame the cirriculum. I agree with this video. I think that the problem about education, it is the problem only in Thailand. When I watched this video, it is the problem all the world. We have to change together to our world. The important is leader of every country have to change concept of education and collaborate to our children in the future. Kimberly Delaney ● 30 Sep 2016 I am not up on what is being taught these days or how, but I do know it is more advanced then back in my day. Alex Box ● 29 Sep 2016 Amna Al Dhaheri ● 20 Mar 2017 Teachers need to be strategic because of the systems still in place. Testing still goes on but let “kids making a difference in their world through their learning” come to the forefront and dominate he educational landscape. Imagine the impact on the UN’s global goals might be achieved if all kids were involved during school hours. http://worldslargestlesson.globalgoals.org Instead of grading them, I would have the child correct their own paper, so they can see how well they are doing (with or without the teacher, depending). When necessary I would have them correct themselves in front of the teacher so questions can be asked and suggestions can be made so the child is able to understand and retain the info, rather than just work for a grade. Schools should be more custom, allowing the students to pick their path that leads them to their dreams and their aspirations. If a student has certain struggles, allow them but not force them to attend classes to help cope, manage, and or overcome whatever issues they may have. Creativity and individuality over uniformity and tradition. Let the students become who they dream to become, and allow them to branch out and create change. Allow creativity to be presented not suppressed. Teachers create and help mold the future. So why shouldn’t they be allowed to make more than minimum. Prince is right in all he says. This isn’t 150 years ago, so why do we continue something so out dated. Build the future. Blake ● 3 Oct 2016 Isabella ● 10 Oct 2016 Its inspiring video. In most of the country there is traditional teaching system. In my country some of the subjects are not course related but we have to study it. our grades decide our intelligent and capability. Our parents and we have great expectation towards school and colleges but some times its system demotivate us. Secondly, once an achievement, a destination, a plan of progress is developed roulette bets diagram, we must then design a system which fosters, encourages, supports, and embraces such. Khan Academy has come very close to this in the way it teaches courses. If we separate information not by grades and ages but by learning styles and levels, we can begin to establish an environment where you are not taking “5th grade math” but “5th level math”. And that level may be done in what would now be the 2nd grade for those who are at peace with math, or in the 7th grade for those who develop the understanding later in life. Achievements can be established so that multiple subjects are always addressed. But those subjects which a student excels in (be it math, music, art, or archery) will be allowed to be embraced to the level of the individual, not the classes’. Then learning can be about the person, and not the masses’. But so as to not neglect the potential of any person, their can still be a requirement to achieve particular levels in ## of topics. Not everyone needs to know how to draw, or paint, or understand cell biology. But all people should understand that there is a broad scope of knowledge which, while outside their comfort zone, can still add value to their understanding of that which they hold most dear. If for no other reason than to ensure that the refuse collector deutsche casino x cheats, the waiter, and the rocket scientist, see each other as equals. Geniuses in their own right and not so much in other areas. As part of step two, classes in school can be, and perhaps should be, structured based on learning style, not age. Further supporting a person’s ability to embrace knowledge in a manner which makes most sense to them. This would allow them to take ownership of their learning, Allowing us all to become, individuals who learn about personal accountability. RJ ● 28 Sep 2016 Many people now recognize that each person prefers different learning styles and techniques. I would begin there and help them find what multiples work for them and then make a class with appropriate resources. I would increase the range of learning techniques and approach teaching them differently. Aashish Rasiklal Dhakan ● 10 Oct 2016 I think this is the most realistic and true thing I’ve ever heard. Thank you for supporting the young generation and I want to get in touch with you. I want to find more ways to spread the word about this and I want to take it to my schools board of directors. I want to tell them everything that i just learned and inform them. I agree with every word and think that we should change the school system. Your video is inspiring. Because of such inspiration, unfortunately it is often taken for the wrong side. I thank you for supporting us teacher and making people see that we have tot teach for the mold because we HAVE to. BUT, with that said there are a lot of us that do make a difference spela casino youtube, that do know that each child counts, that do know that these kids deal with way more than some of us will ever have to deal with in a lifetime. We need to stand together and better education instead of separating us by money and dividing us between charter and public schools. If the focus is education, let us stand together as educators of one division instead of separating us. Together we are stronger and our youth is who matters. And your help would be incredible, and in the future come to Mexico to talk with us would be excellent. The Teachers would stay in the background observing, answering questions, encouraging the child to learn on their own, with the intent of giving them a love for learning. (I loved Home Economics and would have liked to try my hand at Shop Class or Simple Auto Mechanics, but it was not available.) Nutrition, growing and preserving and cooking food and making alternative meds from plants, could be a seasonal hands on indoor and outdoor class that also be included, without having to have a set time for Health and PE specifically. The Curriculum needs to be changed and updated based upon our present culture and needs for the future. Isaac Cattan ● 28 Oct 2016 I Home Schooled and found what worked was to try and incorporate all of the Subjects into a Topic we were exhausting at the time. I gave my Son some Topic Ideas to choose from and I was willing to compromise if he had his heart set on Outer Space live 8 pink floyd, if it was not suggested for example. I worked with him the best way he was able to learn, so he could stay focused and interested. He preferred, solitary, visual, logical and aural at times although we worked on developing the less dominate american roulette table and wheel, some too, even though he did not know that. Social development and hands on practicality is just as important in certain circumstances kostenlose casino spiele sizzling hot, and helps to challenge one who is an introvert, for example. Jeff ● 3 Oct 2016 Notwithstanding the fact that I understand that the school system is dated, comparing the evolution of a school system to evolution of a car or telephone is like comparing apples with oranges; they are different. I would say compare it with other systems from 100 years ago. Bartering for example, it hasn’t changed much over the years. I agree with prince EA and i think that the schools have to review the type of homeworks the teachers are giving us. Also sharing ideas with other schools or countries to change some rules. The real truth is that schools need more ideas and they have to give us more educational trips. Programs can be set up for this that can be done at home without cheating for those discerned who learn best in this way. This would give everyone the opportunity for smaller classes and a relaxing time for exploring the out door world beyond 4 walls as part of hands on learning. If need be, I would have more Teachers per student available, to help the learning process to be smoother and provide jobs. I agree with Prince EA, what he said about emproving the educational system. School systems need to be changed quicker and we all work towards that. With all due respect online casino us visa, Prince EA, I would definitely 100% agree with you. My school is in the Middle East and it is one of the best schools in my country and the teachers are very helpfull with us. One problem is that our educational government is always not allowing the school to go on educational trips or visit interesting places. Thank you for reading
